I Plan My Trips Using Astrocartography: Where Should Take Your Next Vacation, Based on Astrology

Planning your next vacation is never really that hard, is it? If you don’t already have a bucket list of places you’re ready to check off your list, then you may be like me and already know when you’re going - its just a matter of taking PTO and clocking out of the office at this point. But after years of traveling - from being a broke college student studying abroad in Italy using my last savings to fly across Europe, to work trips, weddings. visiting family, and now for business - I now sometimes ask myself “where next”, and more importantly, “why should I go there?” And then I came across astrocartography.

Astrocartography is a fascinating branch of astrology that involves mapping out the best locations on Earth for an individual based on their natal chart. By analyzing where planets were located at the time of your birth in relation to different parts of the world, astrocartography can help you determine places that might be particularly beneficial (or challenging) for various aspects of your life. I like to think of using astrocartography as a tool to use to travel more mindfully. If I feel like I’d like to get inspiration or cultivate a certain energy in my life at a certain point of time, I kinda just pull out my astrocartography map and see where I’m going to next.

Here’s a guide on how to use astrocartography to find where you should live:

Get Your Astrocartography Map:

  • Obtain an astrocartography map from an online astrology service or consult an astrologer who specializes in this field. Websites like Astro.com or offer free tools to generate these maps. Be sure to enter your full birth details - date, place and time for your results.

Once you’ve gotten your chart, now it’s time to interpret your results. You can look at the certain lines that go over specific locations. Here is a breakdown of what each line tells you about each location:

Understanding the Key Lines:

  • Sun Line: Promotes vitality, confidence, and personal growth. Good for self-expression and leadership.

  • Moon Line: Enhances emotional well-being, home life, and family connections. Suitable for nurturing environments.

  • Mercury Line: Boosts communication, learning, and mental activities. Ideal for studying, writing, and networking.

  • Venus Line: Brings love, beauty, and social harmony. Great for relationships, artistic pursuits, and financial gains.

  • Mars Line: Increases energy, drive, and assertiveness. Good for physical activities, career ambitions, and overcoming challenges.

  • Jupiter Line: Expands opportunities, luck, and growth. Ideal for education, travel, and prosperity.

  • Saturn Line: Enhances discipline, structure, and long-term goals. Good for responsibilities, career advancement, and personal development.

  • Uranus Line: Encourages innovation, change, and independence. Suitable for unconventional lifestyles and breaking free from routines.

  • Neptune Line: Inspires creativity, spirituality, and dreams. Good for artistic endeavors, spiritual growth, and escape from reality.

  • Pluto Line: Promotes transformation, power, and deep changes. Suitable for intense personal growth and dealing with deep issues.

Once you’ve assessed your astrocartography map, you can then decide where it is you’d like to travel to next, host your next trip or spend time with a loved one based on the your personal preferences:

  1. Analyze Your Goals and Needs:

    • Determine what you are looking to achieve or experience in a new location. Are you seeking career advancement, emotional stability, romance, adventure, or spiritual growth?

  2. Match Your Goals with Astrocartography Lines:

    • Align your goals with the planetary lines that support those objectives. For example, if you’re seeking career growth, look at your Sun, Mars, and Saturn lines.

  3. Consider the Geography:

    • Think about the physical location, culture, and climate of the places where your beneficial lines intersect. Make sure they align with your personal preferences and lifestyle needs.

  4. Look at Local Space Astrology:

    • In addition to astrocartography, local space astrology can give insights into how different places within a city or region might affect you. This can be particularly useful when choosing a neighborhood or specific area within a city.

  5. Visit Potential Locations:

    • If possible, visit the places where your beneficial lines intersect. See how you feel in those locations and whether they meet your expectations and needs.

  6. Consult with an Astrologer:

    • For a more detailed and personalized analysis, you can consider consulting with an astrologer who specializes in astrocartography. They can provide deeper insights and help you interpret the map more accurately.

Remember, astrocartography is a tool that offers guidance, but it should be used alongside practical considerations and personal preferences of course. Combining astrological insights with real-world factors will help you make the best decision about where to live.
